🌟 Get to know me

Hi! My name is Aksel, I’m 16 years old, and I’ve grown up and lived all my life in Denmark. Currently I go to Sukkertoppen HTX in Valby, Copenhagen. On this Website I’m showcasing various projects that I’ve either made in school, or small projects I’ve made in my freetime. My hobbies are programming, video games, and travelling. I want to visit to every country in Europe before I die. Here you can see which countries I’ve visited.

👨‍💻 Why I made the website

I’ve had an interest in computers, programming and video games since I was a kid. I started block coding on sites like Scratch and Code.org, and eventually moved over to web development. Therefore, I’ve always dreamt of having my own website, where i can share my thoughts and projtects with people, which is why I on Februrary 13th 2025, bought the domain “vilmann.eu”.

🤖 Technology used

Since then, I’ve tried many different layouts and setups for this website. Initially I made it in raw HTML and CSS, but a friend reccomended me to use a framework called Astro, which is what i ended up using.

🎨 Theme choice

As you can see, I’ve chosen the theme “Catppuccin” a simple dark mode theme, with soothing pastel colors. I’ve chosen this theme, since I’ve always been a dark mode enthusiast. Specifically its the “Mocha” theme, which is the original and darkest Catppuccin theme.
